Sometimes there are no thumbshots available and I would like to put in a conditional statement if possible, so that if no thumb is available, then a replacement image is posted in its place - how can I code this? Paul, I do have in mind to build, on future, a science forum, were Math Symbols would be very important in orther to express formulas. On other side It would be a plus for WSN Forum to have a good management of math symbols in order it be recongized very useful for the side of the forums market related with science. I want to be able to add a custom field in which the user inputs a URL to be linked with the photo. How do I do that. If it makes more sense. Its for a client that has stock plans (house) in PDF format and we want to have it so when you go to the gallery you see a main JPG of the stock plan and the ability to add a link to the PDF file for download. Not really sure about this but i think that Alexa provides a way for scripts to retrieve the ranking either for free, or for a small fee. Since Alexa rank is the only tool which measures the true quality of a site, i think it is important for a directory script to be able to update this ranking automatically. Don't see anyone else asking for this, but if it can be done i think it's worth it.

Hi. Was wondering if anyone knew of a way to display different ads depending on what category the surfer was currently viewing? I use a banner rotating script that I pull ads from. (phpadsnew) It normally just involves placing a little bit of code on the page you want to display the ads on. Hi, Paul: I recently started to install the WSN Guest 1.11, which uses Unicode utf-8 so that the Mandarin can be easily translated and displayed! Everything in the script works fine, but when I log into my "admin" account and click on "Admin Panel" it goes directly to "this page cannot be displayed! I know for a fact that I uploaded everything, and I double checked that /admin/index.php is uploaded too, is there something that I'm doing wrong? I set the permissions for the entire /admin/ folder to 755, should I change it to something else?

My live site is running 4.0.39 while I'm working on getting my templates finalized in 4.1.7. I installed a second 4.039 version, restored the database, and then upgraded. In any case, the number of links showing at the top of the page has increased by 99 on the 4.1.7 site compared to the 4.0.39. I haven't added any links to either site and I've regenerated both sites.
