Moving Members
Hopefully a simple questions I decided in the next few days to pick up my own license for WSNforums and intergrate it with one of my WSNLinks .. the thing is I want to use the WSNForums member database, intergrating WSNLinks into WSNforums, but move all my existing members, about 500 of them, at the Links directory into the forums members database.
I think I can figure a way to do it, but I'm looking for the /easiest/ way to do it. I'm still fairly unsure of myself and mySQL. When doing this I will still have to...

Need help getting RSS feed to work
I've read a bunch of stuff on RSS/XML etc., but I'm still confused as to how to get this to work with WSN Links. I've used the info from the manual, but I can't get the feed to show up in (for example) the Yahoo RSS feed reader.
Could someone please tell me what are the steps that I need to take to get the RSS feed to work? It seems like the manual is leaving out a step or three.
This is what I got when I entered the feed URL into Yahoo:
Results 0-0 of 0 for "fee...

notify on new link
Hi,
I have wsnkb integrated with wsnforum. I wanted all members to be notified by a new article but on the same time they are notified on new topics in the forum.
It may be a good idea to separate the notification for each script.
Regards!

url rewrite problems I just moved my WSN Links site to a new server. I made all the absolute path and database adjustments. Everything works fine except the url rewrite feature.
I had it working before the server move, but now I need it off in order for the site to function properly.
With htaccess chmoded to 666, I turn on the feature and it works as it should, BUT all other directories not part of WSN links are killed in the process.
An example is /forums. With url rewrite on, now I get this when accessing...

phpBB/WSN
I've see a variety of posts here for integrating phpBB with WSN, but I'm just wondering:
Is there, anywhere on the site, a complete step-by-step (do this, then do that, then click this etc.) guide to integrating phpBB with WSN?
Many thanks

search engine working across scripts?
Hello, just a quick inquiry:
If multiple WSN scripts are installed on a site, each in its own folder, can the search engine in each of the scripts search accross all WSN-powered pages, regardless of the script? For eg., if I installed WSN Links and Knowledge Base can a visitor search both at the same time? Can reciprocal searching between WSN-powered pages take place?
A bit confused (typing this late at night http://www.webmastersite.net/forums/html/emoticons/eyebrow.gif</a>'...

SEO Related
two things to review I think you should include H1 tags in the script somewhere, as they are important to SEO. You could make it simply repeat the site name, and let the user change it. I put one on the bottom of my site, simply repeating my site name and slogan. (view)
Also, you should consider putting an ALT tag on the "Updated!" and "New" images next to links/categories. You will receive marks off SEO score for not having these tags. I tried look for the variable that displays the image and fou...

Sponsored Link Multipage
I would like to know if there is a possibility to put a multi-page for the sponsored links?
I want only 5 sponsored links shown per category but a multipage under them (In case there is more than 5 of them).
This should not effect the multipage for the regular links.
Thanks
:)

Sponsorship for Member group
Member Usergroup Sponsorship I want all members to pay to view the site. It almost works okay. I turned the member group "member" to "can not view site" since I want only paying members to access the site.
The confusion is when a visitor registers they are taken to the main login page that requests payment to upgrade to sponsor status. The Sponsor Member Site link is at the bottom of the page and when clicked returns the vistor to the main registration page again. I don't have an example right now. I...

WSN & phpBB - Need some plain english help
In need of some simple instruction and plain english help.
I'm trying to integrate WSN and phpBB2
Here's the steps I've taken
1. Fresh, working install of phpBB2, unmodified.
2. Fresh install of WSN to phpBB database
3. Logged on WSN admin, set integration to phpBB
In testing, I went to the WSN main page and tried to register a new user. A new user was added to the phpBB database but not all the database fields are being filled - the only field on the phpBB side being f...

WSN Integration
Question The thought keeps occuring to me that the only real difference (database wise) between WSN Links and WSN Gallery is a links table v.s. an images table. All other tables are similar.
Isn't it possible to make an easy way in which to use a different php files directory for specific categories?
Example:
Main category: WSN Links folder is used for processing this category.
Subcategory "Images" => the WSN Gallery php folder is used for processing this category (and all of it's subca...

WSN Script idea
Paul, is this idea really dead? About having one main script with all others as moduals or plugins? like links plugin, gallery plugin, forums plugin, kb plugin, etc...
The reson I ask is because I feel that a combination of most of your scripts may be what I need for my site, but I would like a main admin place where I could login and view site members and what access they have to different sections and additional fields for their acocunts that could be seen through out the site if they post ...
