Was this feature ever added? I was looking how to implement it and I couldn't find anywhere. I just want to change the color of the table cell of every other result for several of my pages.

If you're talking about comment threads, yes... if you're talking about somewhere else, it was never suggested.

You can see it right here on this forum, for example. See your stylesheet, .commentalternate and .commentposteralternate

I'd like to suggest this as a future feature, to allow alternating colors for any list (ie. display links, member links, and if possible, toplists).

It's not likely to be implimented since it doesn't have much application to most people. You could do it with php in your templates making use of {LINKNUMBER} or whatever appropriate equivilant for where you are:

One thing though. I'm trying to show alternate colors for my search results, but both LINKNUMBER and NUMBER don't work correctly. Is there some other variable I can use that'll allow me to alternate colors on the search result pages?
