Moregoogle seems to use (free) images from the Alexa site. Ggler apparently uses the google API (?) to get the images.
I have no idea whether these would be easily usable within WSN Links. But if so, having an easy option to add a site thumbnail, would be pretty neat =).
If this is possible, some remarks: - It would probably be necessary to update the images through a batch operation. In which the new images are gotten from whatever service is offering them. Otherwise the loading times become annoying. - Moregoogle seems to have more images. Alexa probably doesn't make thumbnails of that many sites. - I wonder how they actually make the thumbnails (and whether imagemagick could be easily scripted to do this instead). Doing it directly from WSN Links would cut down on dependencies. - Thumbshots.net also seems to offer images.
One question: Is this something that WSN Links could eventually do itself / would that be something you'd even want to implement? (is guessing: no )
Some remarks for people searching for this: - Thumbshots.org is limited in the number of supporting sites. One of the other sites listed here may be usable to get more images.
