I plan to buy at least two more licenses when the map features I suggested are added, but would like to know if existing licenses count towards eligibility for bulk license prices. (vBulletin does this; if you own four licenses and decide to buy two more, you get charged the bulk license rate for owning five plus licenses.) Just curious as it might affect the timing of my purchase(s)... I have more ideas for sites then time to work on them all, so though buying several licenses at once sounds attractive financially, I don't know when or if I'll get around to starting the lower priority sites. No, bulk rates are for a particular purchase only (though if someone decides within 30 days to add more they can get a refund on the earlier and use the bulk purchase instead). For one thing, there aren't bulk rates for most numbers. More importantly, it'd take a large amount of time to write up a system that takes into account whether someone originally used a bulk purchase to keep a running total of how much they've paid. And then it wouldn't be compatible with preexisting customers. For example, people who purchased in '03 may have three licenses while only having paid $20, so the difference for them to add more would end up completely different than someone who bought in '06. Frankly, it's a lot of trouble for the sake of probably reducing my income so it's not likely to happen. Existing customers do get the $84 rate for a single license on the discounts page, but that's all. |
