I try to install wsn forum but I can't. i submitted support ticket few times and got no response. it says that I should get an autoresponder message when submitting a ticket but i never get any autoreponsesand I tried different e-mails.

How can get in touch with the support so I can provide my install details privately?

Please check your spam filters.

Running the setup.php with the info you provided it says "The database info you typed is invalid." That means you need to find the correct info. You can test it in forum/servertest.php if you don't want to keep testing it in the setup itself.

I offer cpanel configuration for customers, but since WSN Forum is free you need to set up the database yourself.

I know how to setup database in cpanel and I know that my database info is 100% correct. For some reason I wsnforum refuses to accept my info.
For the same reason I can't install wsnlinks either.

I tested servertest.php

here is the result:

MySQL version 4.0.27-standard - acceptable but not optimal
MySQL 4.1 or newer is needed for showing similar listings or doing fulltext searches. WSN Forum will still function with the exception of these minor features.
Access to the database was established. Everything is good.

But when i insert the same info to setup.php it says:

The database info you typed is invalid. Make sure you've included any account prefix which belongs before the username and database name (account_dbname instead of dbname), and make sure you grant the MySQL user all permissions to the specified database.

So server test says everything OK but setup thing says the opposite. What do i do?

WSN requires MySQL 4.1+. 4.0.27 was released in 2006 (http://forums.mysql.com/read.php?3,89409,89409) and the 4.0 series is dead and doubtless insecure. 5.1 is the current stable release.

I'll update the text to note that 4.1 is required.
