Hi - Im using a ye olde version of Gallery 2.11 ( dont ask, trouble with server - lets sleeping dogs lie) and have noticed when I make an edit to a photo the category number adds an extra number to its total. I can regenerate counters and it goes back to correct number but thats annoying if I have to do that all the time. Any idea what the prob might be???

I am also using this {CATNUMLINKS} to show total number of photos. This doesnt seem to regenerate.

Thanks

Jeremy

Probably a bug, but I don't remember since that was about 2 years ago.

Anyhow, 2.11 leaves you wide open to hackers. If you really want to stick with it perhaps you can leave them a note asking them to regenerate while they're there.

well thanks for the humourous, flippant piece of advice.

I suppose Ill just have to upgrade... I have had so many troubles before upgrading that I just left it at a working version....

Oh well back to the dreaded upgrade...

If you wait years between upgrades they will become more difficult, since much more will have changed and no one will have tested upgrading from your old version to the current (since everyone else will be upgrading from more recent versions). Nonetheless an upgrade from 2.11 should work fine as long as you overwrite your templates and update your usergroup permissions.
