Not all Categories - just one or two - that I have found - one is sub-category - and one is a top level category ...

Have looked in database to see differences - but can't find any ...

Changed setup to show queries etc - [ but not sure what to look for ]raised eyebrow
.... there is no source code readable for the page - but the queries do show up ...the address bar shows I am in the right spot - but no luck ...

Realizing that I need to upgrade - but this just seemed to happen on its own ?

Any suggestions as to what/where I should look further ??

Thanks to all in advance ...

DR

I remember seeing something of this sort a few months ago, unfortunately I can't remember what the cause was. I've a vague memory that it may have related to url rewriting. I think the situation was avoided by later releases though.

Thanks Paul - will be updating shortly:

In Reference to the Manual - Re Blank Screen:
http://scripts.webmastersite.net/wsnlinks/wsnmanu...

Point #2:
"Cause: You've just upgraded to a new version, but fields couldn't be added properly, and each category has become a blank page.
Solution: You probably have a broken mysql table index. Use phpmyadmin to look at the structure of your wsnlinks_links table. At the bottom is a list of indexes. If 'wsnindex' lists the same field twice, delete it. Then re-run upgrade.php."

Well I didn't find that specifically for wsn_links - but in "Categories"
I did find this "duplication"?: - [please see attachment]

Not sure how it got this way ...

Could this be messing up some of the categories - so that they are not visible ?

Thanks

DR

You should delete the id_2 index (can't say I've seen an index with that name before), but I don't think that would be causing blanks.

Ok - Thanks - I successfully deleted ID_2 in phpmyadmin:

Also came across in the "wsnlinks_members" area in phpmyadmin

this comment: [see attachment]

Wondered if you had any thoughts on this raised eyebrow

Thanks again in advance

I felt that I needed to update these posts:

As I did not want others who might be looking at using WSN Links to think that this was an unresolved problem.

Once again - error on my part shocked was causing certain Categories to show blank:

See this thread for the error of my ways: Post #9

- and once again - Paul - "WSN Links is fantastic"

Thanks
