Paul,

At ver. WSN Links 4.0.23 the category selector presents the categories not allowed to publish links in as the attached figure Cat_selector1.

Now after upgrading at ver. WSN Links 4.1.23 the category selector presents the not allowed to publish links in as the attached figure Cat_selector2.

I have checked the category usergroup permissions and they are the same as before upgrading. So now the members can access the form to submit links in the not-allowed category. After submitting the link they see a message saying they are not allowed to submit here, this is correct but I would like to have also the previous feature were the category selector does not allows to select the not allowed category.

Can you please check at this in order to have the cat selector show the not-allowed categories as before, in dark and not-allowing to select them, or advice me how to enabled it again.

Thank you.
P.D. My best wishes for the new year !

How many categories do you have? It stops marking them when there are 200+.

I have a total of 53 categories at the moment.
Four main categories each one with 9 to 14 sub categories (two levels).
I do want only to allow publishing on subcategories but not on the main cats.

Did you formerly have more? Noticed it wasn't rechecking and reenabling after the category count goes down, and fixed that in 4.1.24.

Paul,

I do not believe I have had more than 200 categories. I did import via phpmyadmin the database structure with my new variables that I did create and after this I did upgrade it.

I have just upgraded now to WSNLINKS 4.1.24 and I still have the problem. The categories are still showing the not-allowed categories same as the allowed ones and they can be selected. Do you need me to email you the acess data to the website for you to check ? This is still a not alive website.

Also Paul,

- The current version 4.1.24 is showing the cat selector correctly,
the difficulty I have is on my upgraded install.

- I would like to suggest to have have a selector to state if we need the subcategories to inherit their parent categories usergroup permissions. At the moment the subcats are inheriting them, so I suggest a simmilar selector as we now have at Category settings the : 'Should subcategories inherit moderators from their parents?' but for the usergropu permissions.

Thanks.

If it still doesn't look right now that the daily cron should've run, I'll need to see it.

Please put the suggestion in the suggestions forum, or it'll get lost.

Paul,

It's working fine now. I guess I should have to wait one day for the daily crons to run as you mentioned.

Thanks.
