Hello,
I have just completed a clean install of 4.1.30.
When I submit a feed, it is accepted and I receive the admin notification emails for each link contained in the feed. However, none of the links from the submitted feed appear anywhere in the admin panel or in the directory.
I have checked the Pending Validation page and there are no links listed.
The feed URL does appear in the Bulk Edit Feeds page.
I have done a complete regenerate after submitting the feed and that did not help.
Please assist with getting this function to work, thanks!

Also, I often get this message when attempting to submit a feed to the directory:
That feed is invalid or unavailable. Please check the URL you supplied.
I seem to get this message usually from a Feedburner feed. I checked the feeds for errors but they validated fine. Are there any known issues/remedies with the feed submissions?

Works as expected for me. Check your usergroup permissions. Do you require validation of links in feed? Though I just tested with and without validation, both seem fine. What usergroup are you submitting from?
Can you give me an example of a feed for which you get the unavailable message consistently? If it's not consistent then it must mean either the feed's server or your server isn't connecting.

I have double-checked my usergroup permissions. I am submitting as an administrator. I have set administrators to have permission to submit feeds without validation needed. I have also tested it with validation set on. The script works fine with some feeds but not others. I have noticed that Feedburner feeds seem to be the worst.
Here is a sample feed that gives me an error message: (removed)

Aha, I see the problem now, atom feeds are not supported and some Feedburner feeds are atom only.
I am also having a problem with deleting feeds after they are accepted. When I am in the Bulk Edit Feeds panel, I select the feeds to be deleted, select 'delete' in the drop-down menu, but the feed still appears after I hit Save Changes.
I have checked the usergroup permissions, and there is not a field for allow/disallow deletion of XML feeds. On the administrator permissions, all permissions are on.

Hi Paul,
It looks like the original problem from my first post in this thread is persisting, even with a RSS feed. I submitted a RSS feed and everything worked fine initially. WSN picked up the links from the feed and added them to the Pending Validation page.
However, when the feed was updated with a new link, the new link did not appear in the Pending Validation page. I did receive the admin notification email, alerting me that a new link was submitted to the directory, but when I checked it was not there. It seems that WSN is detecting the update in the feed, sending the admin an email, but the link isn't appearing anywhere in the script.

OK, I think I've figured out what is going on with some feed links not appearing in the Pending Validation page.
It appears that the feed owner must be an admin in order for the script to pick up the links from the RSS feed. If the link owner is a regular member, the links in the feed never get submitted.
This problem is not caused by the feed or servers, because I tested multiple feeds in this manner: I submit a feed and wait for it to update with a new link. If the feed owner is a regular member, then the new link does not get submitted into the directory. After switching the feed owner to an admin, and then waiting for the feed to update again, the new link is submitted properly.
Again, the admin receives an email notifying of a new link from the feed, even when the link owner is a regular member and the link never makes it into the validation page.
I have upgraded the script to the latest version and the problem persisted. Can this be fixed? Otherwise the members of my site will not be able to manage their own feed links. Thanks.

I tested again and I am mistaken actually. I think that this problem was ocurring with 4.1.31, but I have upgraded to 4.1.32 and it seems to be working now. Sorry about the confusion.
