When someone adds a link to their OWN link list, not the public one, they need to wait for an admin to validate it before it shows up in their list. I do not want this. I do, however, want the links that are added to the public link directory to require activation. Is there a way to require activation for links and categories added in the public directory, but not in a member's personal link list. It just doesn't make sense to me. If that member is the only person who can see the list, then I could care less what he puts in it. But I very much care about the public list. That's why I hope this is possible.

settings->functionality->Auto-approve submissions by moderators to their own category? should control that. Link list owners are considered moderators of their list.

Well, just tested and I can confirm that in 3.13 (default configuration, member submissions have to be validated) a regular member can submit to their album without it needing validation.
