Several have registered as a member in my WSN Links, but say they cannot log in or stay logged in long enough to add thier links. I myself have trouble staying logged into the admin area. Do you have any idea of why this would start so suddenly when everything was working correctly? Any ideas you may have would be appreciated.

Becky

I presume you haven't changed any cookie info. You should stay logged in then for as long as you selected in your profile (3.12 plus) or as long as the default cookie length (3.11 and earlier). I've never had any problems in any of my installs.

If you had another WSN script installed along the same path that could conflict.

Hi Paul,

Appreciate your time again while I wade through this. I have made no changes to the program, which is why it is confusing to me. There is only one change that was made to the wrapper template, could it be what is causing the problem?

I added javascript code for my banner rotation program for my personal banners. Would javascript code play games with the program code?

Thanks,
Becky

Also, I forgot to add. It seems about 80% of the visitors are having this problem, but the rest are having no problems. Does this help?

Thanks,
Becky

I don't see any way that a template change could affect logins. Javascript could if the javascript involves cookies somehow.

It seems about 80% of the visitors are having this problem, but the rest are having no problems. Does this help?

It may indicate that it's an Internet Explorer only matter, which would probably then be related to javascript handling I'd think.

Hi,

I dont really know what it is, but it seemed to resolve itself. Maybe its all haunted I dont know.

However, here goes me not leaving anything alone. I installed pcnuke for the site i use wsn links on. www.travelazine.com and I am trying to integrate the member systems. I entered what I could into the phpnuke integration, as they are so similar lots of things are interchangeable. I had to change the user table name to the one pcnuke uses rather than phpnuke. Now, I get this error below and cannot log into wsn links admin area at all. Can you help with integration matters at all? I can keep the wsn and pcnuke seperate if need be, but as this is a very new site, I thought it would be nice to fix them together to begin with. At this time I only have about 60 links in the WSN.

The error I am receiving is this: Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/travelaz/public_html/directory/classes/database.php on line 59

Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/travelaz/public_html/directory/classes/database.php on line 59

And, as I said above, I cannot log into the wsn admin area any longer. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Becky

Hi Paul,

I was able to get back in admin after loading my backed up copy of the database.

I am having a problem with getting the two to work, pc nuke guys will not help. I am not sure about cookies or how to find the cookie names, or if the cookies are arrays or not. Has anyone you known ever tried to get the two to work together? Do you have any tips for me? I could run the site with the two member systems without too much hardship on the visitors, but if I could get them integrated now while the site is still real new it would sure be nice.

Thanks,
Becky

Keep the cookie values empty (so that it uses WSN cookies) until you have the rest working.

I've never heard of PC Nuke before. I guess it must be a relative of PHP-Nuke and Post-Nuke.
