It's used in the post bit, buddy list, buddy/ignore management, chat room, the joined list for calendar events, birthdays list, deleted posts template, ignored template, the leaders page, online users list on the front page, online users page, moderator notes, member list, print thread, and PM view.

It's styling for the username, to visually identify the usergroup, so of course everybody sees it. You can see that my name looks different from yours in this thread.
