in global members-permissions, i set that members cannot "edit their own topics",

in the permissions of a forum, i set that members can "edit their own topics",

if i submit a topic as a member inside this forum, i can't edit it. The edit-topic
dropdown box appears only if set from the global permissions.

I believe this is fixed but you'll have to test it.

"You don't have permission to view the section of the site..." prompting me to login (while i am already logged in)

Re post #3: Fixed it now.

Re post #4: Can't reproduce that.

another problem came up,

in members global permissions i have unchecked:
1)Can edit owned topics
2)Need topic-edit validation

in a forum's members permissions i check:
1)Can edit owned topics
2)Need topic-edit validation

the problem is that the member can edit a topic without needing validation
