I have been trying to update my images for my thumbnail links but it keeps getting distorted.

1)If I upload a gif file at 1kb it shows up as 4kb once its uploaded.(basically my uploaded image is bigger then orginal in size)

2)If I upload an image size of 100x100 the image will only be uploaded at 100x90.(basically my uploaded image is smaller then orginal in demension)

3)If I upload a PNG file it gets converted to jpg extension

I dont know why this is happening when i am updating my current thumbnails or is this a result of me trying to update the same link all the time? I havent tried it on new links yet.
But if these are bugs hopefully it can be corrected but if not can someone suggest a recommendation for me to configure WSN so it wouldnt occur anymore. It's really frustrating for me at the moment

Thanks in advance.

Thumbnails will always be different from the original, that's the nature of thumbnails. Check your thumbnail settings and set them as you wish (no, you can't make them not be .jpg nor can you control what filesize they'll end up being).
