I am adding reciprocal links then writing to the people requesting a reciprocal link. Therefore I don't want it to check for a reciprocal link when an admin is the one submitting.
I would prefer to leave it to check upon submitting if not an administrator, but couldn't see how I could do that, so simply ensured that "Verify reciprocal link on submit" was unchecked.
Nevertheless I still can't submit a reciprocal type link without entering a url in the Reciprocal Link URL field. It just keeps telling me I must specify the page....

The option for admins to bypass submission requirements should apply there. Have you tried it? Admin -> Members -> Settings -> Let admins bypass requirements such as required fields?

Maybe you've selected it as a required field at Admin -> Settings -> General.

Okay, confirmed that there's no option to do a reciprocal link without providing something. But it doesn't actually check that it's valid, so you can type http://temporary or the like. It doesn't really make sense to have nothing in the field.
