Hi all. I just saw a site (whose name I will not mention)on a free server using WSN links. The site linked to a warez script site, and when I searched it, I saw all of the MAJOR LINK INDEX SCRIPTS including WSN 2.55, Indexu, Link Up Gold etc, zipped and ready to download! I don't use warez scripts, so I'm going to purchase WSN or another one, I couldn't decide yet. But what about these pirated copies? How do you protect your scripts against copyright violation? 2.55 didn't have any real copyright protection, but anyhow 2.55 is very old and people might be better off by downloading the free basic edition of 3.12. 3.x versions require that the buyer email be supplied in the admin panel. If the supplied email doesn't match a valid purchase email, then an email is sent to both me and the site owner about it. Basically, the warez sites can offer it for download but the person who downloads it from there and installs it will end up unintentionally emailing me to expose theirself.
