I wish while I am on the edit link page, I could click a button and have the link I am editing open in a new window. This would allow me to review the site for appropriatness, and possibly find material on the site to improve the title or description.

Hi Rik, You can edit the edit.tpl in the templates to get a link. from this URL: to this URL: Link and that should get you there in one click

it does not make sence to have that on the submit link page - there is no value in the database for that link - it does not exsist in the database yet... in other for that to work (i see the reason - to double check if the url is spelled correctly) the some sort of java script needed to prefill the newly typed URL - similar to caracter-count for descriptions field Edited by fresco on 10/30/04 - 11:19 AM. It is only there to make it easy and convenient to open a browser window to the submitted site for viewing it while filling out the submit page. It is just a convenience. I have already used it and find it very useful. I suggest this become a normal feature.

it cannot not work on submit link page... just check your site - the reasons why it can/will/does not work on submit page is in my post above. (i put it on edit link page though...) Edited by fresco on 10/30/04 - 05:12 PM. Reason: more

It won't be on the submit link page. That's why, if I read the topic title correctly, this is about the 'edit link' page.

For me it only works on the edit page AND the submit page AFTER you first click the button to get title and description. Then, the url link works fine on the edit and submit pages. I am using it and finding it handy in both places.
