Good day,

I am setting up the guest book to look more like a directory. I added all of the below to the Entry fields area and updated the sign up template and well main template. I have also added the new list to the language set.

First_Name
Last_Name
Address
City
state
Zip_Code
Phone
Email

The problem I am now having is that I deleted the commits and the original name fields as well as the IM fields. I really only want the above to show up on the page.

When testing the new form I get a feedback stating “You have not completed all of the required fields.”

How do I turn off the required fields requirement?

Thank you for your time.

Major

Required fields are under 'manage settings' in the admin panel.

If you want it to look like a directory, why not just use a directory script? WSN Links is several years more up to date, as is WSN Knowledge Base.

Thank you for the tip and the reply but when you click into the manage settings it doesn't have a way to turn the required fields off. Only change them. Am I missing something? I will check out the other programs your suggestion for the directory.

I guess I need to clarify the project. I did say directory but what I should have said was I am trying to create a way that people can post their contact information on a page in a nonprofit environmental website. So I guess that the term should be membership roster rather then directory.

I took a look at WSN Links and WSN Knowledge Base and I don’t think that is what I am looking for.

I did try to change the settings in the manage settings area under Entries to email instead of name. Now after you fill out the form it goes to a page that states: Thank you for signing our group list but when you go back to the main page you see “0 entries”.

I am not sure what to do now. I would appreciate any help you can provide me.

Thanks again,

Major

Like with all multi-selectors, ctrl+click deselects an option.

Thanks for the reply. ctrl+click did just fine but the posts are still not showing up on the page when you fill out the form.

Thanks anyway.
