Well since I couldn't resolve the parse error, I decided it was beatingh a dead horse to keep on trying to make an old version work, so I downloaded 3.13 and did the upgrade -- or at le4ast, I tried to; it givrs me a fatal error: Administrative account verified... starting upgrade. Checking for new database fields to add... Adding fields: Adding category fields: Adding usergroup fields: Adding comment fields: Adding member fields: Done adding fields. No new settings need to be added. Calculating the number of subcategories for each category. Fatal error: Call to undefined function: dowsncodes() in /home/httpd/myhost/mydomain/httpdocs/wsnlinks/classes/catego ry.php on line 138. I have no clue what to do about this; someone please advise me. And please excuse what are no doubt numerout typos; this text is so small I can barely see it, let alone read it, and it's totally unresponsive to my browser's 'larger text' option; from the stylesheet's hardcoded text size I guess. You must be using old files or don't have wsncodes.php uploaded. What browser are you using? The forum text size is easily adjusted in firefox. Edited by Paul on 11/17/04 - 05:13 PM
