was just wondering if there are any wsn specific tags or enhancements available such as plugins,mods hacks etc for the wsn forum. specifically related to audio/video embeding etc. sorry im new to it,and havent seen any yet and the default wsn codes do not include any audio/video related tags. thanks shawn

Related to video imbedding there's the new convert to flv switch, but as of now it can only be embedded at the end of the post. I could make a code (along the lines of the existing [image] that shows an attached image with the specified name) to embed an attached video at a specified point in a post. If you're talking about something remote like youtube it should be possible to make a WSN code out of the html youtube provides.

hi paul, it should be possible to make a WSN code out of the html youtube provides thats exactly what i was hoping for. but i hve no clue how to or where to add it so the option is available with the other wsn codes. the idea is to allow users to add a favorite video link from youtube or metacafe. it would be nice to have something like [video] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l69Vi5IDc0g [ /video] thanks shawn

It looks like the id string would be required for embedding, and a full url would pose issues since the embed url is different from the page url. Rather than expect people to figure out the id I'm adding a specially-handled [youtube] code that auto-strips http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=. Edited by Paul on 02/23/07 - 07:59 PM

hi paul, yeah ive been scratching my head trying to figure it out. for us less guru-types codes can be a pain. It'll probably be available today, and will work in Links, Gallery, KB and Forum since they share the same code base. WSN Guest is circa 2003, and will not get any significant updates since it proved to have zero commercial value, so it won't work.
