In the manage usergroups settings the choices on articles and categories are basically all or nothing and I need an in-between and I am not seeing that option. What I need is for a Moderator (County Coordinator) to be able to edit all articles, categories and comments, regardless of the original poster, ONLY in their category and sub-categories. I changed the user name for a submitter with over 150 articles. The articles themselves still show the old user name under the byline. Apart from doing an edit/resave for each article (which works great) is there a faster way?

I note that one of the switches in "Manage Usergroups" is "Can view invisible members". How do you make a member invisible? It would definitely be great for the Administrator. I am actually going to be upgrading to 6.1.?, but want to sort out a few things first. Also, if I turn off "Members" in Settings ==> Switches, I assume that existing members would be able to login using a direct link?

Working on the 140,000 articles to upload by CSV in batches. Each article needs to appear in the appropriate county and state. I didn't see an option in my trial upload that allows for a second category. Is this possible? I realize that I can do two different uploads with the different category numbers, though it would be preferred that the article be linked so that any future editing of the article affects both locations.

What is it with the words curl and lynx in the field articletext that does not allow the article to post? Someone accidentally deleted a category (plus all subcategories and there were a lot). It shows up when I search for "deleted categories". However I can't figure out how to undelete them. When I click on the "edit" link I am redirected to the "displaycat" page... Help, please :eek:

When logged in as an administrator in my WSNKB installation, I attempted to create a new category via the "Suggest New Category" on the main page (or when doing it from "Add New Items" admin panel), but I got this error after I hit submit on the form: The lack of any path before '/suggest.php' in the error message is suspicious. I have noticed two issues when regenerating categories since the last few upgrades: Moderators - Should subcategories inherit moderators from their parents? I had it set to yes as it has been for years. I had myself set as moderator in a top-level category and upon regeneration it overwrote all moderators in the sub-categories and replaced them with me thereby removing all of the category / sub-category moderators.
