I intend to use the chat feature, but i would prefer it so that when a new user enters the chat, that the conversation is 'blank' (so the new arrival can't view the conversation before they arrived in the chat & can only view the chat that happens whilst they are active in the chat. Also if they leave & come back then the chat should be 'blank'.

How could i put under the articles that are RSS feed items the URL of the site the feed comes from or better yet the URL of the original article, for example the or ?

For some reason, any categories with content, like http://www.hificlassifieds.com/kb/index.php?action=displaycat&catid=6 are showing blank. Other category pages with no listings like http://www.hificlassifieds.com/kb/index.php?action=displaycat&catid=8 show up fine. Any ideas? The server I am on is running PHP5 and mysql 4.3 I've reinstalled all wsnkb files and still no joy. Please help. Thanks

I am trying to use SEO , but due to article title is not English I create a Fields call {ARTICLESEOLINKURL} filled with English title. With a custom suggest article page there also needs to be a custom edit article page. When using the default detail template, if the member can edit the article, then the edit.gif is shown and the url to the default edit article page is linked to the image, however, I cannot seem to find a workaround to correctly link to a custom edit article page. You have a subscription option for comments to be received in a daily digest and that will finally become of some use to me in the new application where I expect to have a lot of comments posted. I'm having a trouble when I try to use smilies with the wysiwyg editor. I can drag it into the the editor, then I look to the smilie source in its properties, and the URL to the image is correct, but then, when I submit the message, it appears like [img] {IMGURL}/images_default/smilies/smilie.gif instead of appearing the gif itself... Hello everyone, i'm having a troubling issue when I try to delete attachments. They are drop from the database but they still in the filesystem. I tried to delete them with a script utility inside the adminiostration ( I think its name is: Unused Attachments. I read that if I have directory tree for attachments activated it doesn't work. I just wonder why!? Is there any alternative to make it possible?... Do I have to create my own script?

I have been struggling with tables in the articletext field for years and up until now I was just avoiding them. However, with the new site, there is no practical way to avoid them and I just cannot get them to post right no matter what I try. There is a lot of data that I am wanting to transfer into wsnkb, however over 100 pages already have part of their page setup in tables. Placing the table code in the articletext field, with or without using the WSN Code of to surround the table code ...

Next issue I am seeing is that even with the appropriate switches checked in admin, guest and member submissions (links) are not being held for approval. They do appear in the admin as pending validation, however, they also appear on the site without being held for that approval. Guest and member comments are being held correctly, so it seems to just be an issue with the original submission. Not sure which wsnkb version this problem started in since my main site is still at 2.0.28. However, ...

I am running WSNKB 2.0.18. Is there enough that is different in 4.# to make me want to upgrade? How easy is the upgrade process? Advice welcome.

When logged in as admin: In 2.0.28 I am able to add member accounts at the time I add their article with no issues. I place their email address in the suggestlink form and the account is generated, the article is instantly posted and I am returned to the appropriate category to add the next article.
