Retain Statistics Limit

This should be very easy. Does the retain statistics deadline remove hit totals as well? I am assuming not but am fearful of setting the retain stats low.
No, that limit only applies to the data in the 'visitor statistics' area of the member home section. So you lose the specific details of when each hit took place by who on what, but each listing retains its hits count total.
