This should be simple for someone

Hi,

What I want to do is simple enough (I think), but I simply don't know how to code it. What I hope to accomplish is that I simply do not want the drop down box for "links" and "search all" in my search section o my web pages. I want it to automatically search "links"

In other words, for the search portion of my site I want the section to enter my search term in and a submit button, That's all.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi all,

I am hoping somone can help me (or just post the solution) with a custom search I want to use on my site. I keeping running into walls.

Here's the deal: My site is customized WSN where teachers can submit teaching ideas for different subjects and grade levels. References to "links' have been changed to "tips" I am using WSN more of a database than a links directory. Anyway, I have created a custom field called {LINKLEVEL} where teachers can select (or multiselect) the grade level that their teaching idea is most appropriate for using the checkbox option. Their grade level options are:

All
PreK-K
1st-2nd
3rd-4th
5th-6th

I want the main search tool on each page to be where the teacher selects the grade level desired from a drop down list (with "All" being the default) and then enter in a text field the keywords they are looking for. The search results will of course show links (teaching tips) with those key words at that level.

I have tried modifying the advanced search from that template but I keep screwing up when it comes to my custom field.

ANY help is greatly appreciated.

If you want to look at the site you may do so at http://www.teachertipsheaven.com but understand that it is still heavily under construction.

TIA!!!

Parse error, but why

Hi all,

I'm going nuts and hoping somone can help. I have a simple template with regular and recip links that displays jujst fine. But anytime I go to add a TOPLIST to the template I get the error

"Warning: You have a link type in your template which is not listed in your settings. It is being ignored. The link type TOPLIST 5 "

It doesnt matter what type of toplist it is (newest, most hits)

Funny thing is if I remove the code for displaying the regular and recip links and leave only the TOPLIST code, the TOPLIST will display correctly.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sponsored in any Cat

Hi all,

Been playing with this most of the day and thought someone here might be able to help.

I want my sponsored listings to appear in the top of each category regardless of what category they are assigned to. In other words I want my sponsored listings to rotate though out the entire site in all categories. These would then be followed by my recp links and finally normal links for that category as normal.

Any any assistance is much appreciated.
