50,000 links scriptwiki I have a directory with a couple of thousand categories/sub-cats and approximately 50,000 links. Would WSN Links be able to handle that, without too much modification? May 06, 2006 - 12:03 PM Paid Scripts Support
after apache mod_rewrite scriptwiki You need to make the link to the PNG absolute. For example, either in the CSS file or the wrapper.tpl, or main.tpl the link to the background should be http://www.finsandfur.net/background.png or www.finsandfur.net/template...tes/default/background.png not just background.tpl.

Understand now?

Show off your links scriptwiki Mine is also in the showcase but I'll stick it in here too. It's http://Tidget.com. WSN Links heavily modified to act as a webmaster marketplace. Apr 29, 2006 - 8:10 PM Paid Scripts Support

.htaccess scriptwiki I have an htaccess file that looks like this

Options +FollowSymlinks
RewriteEngine on

# If not working, uncomment and correctly fill the line below:
#RewriteBase /

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d
RewriteRule ^(.+[^/])$ $1/ [R]

RewriteRule ^admin$ admin/index.php
RewriteRule ^admin/$ admin/index.php

RewriteRule ^listing/([a-z]+)/([0-9]+)/?$ link.php?action=$1&id=$2
RewriteRule ^listing/([0-9]+)/?$ link.php?id=$1

RewriteRule ^thread/([0-9]+)/?$ comments.php?id=$1
RewriteRule ^thread/([0-9]+)/([0-9]+)/?$ comments.php?id=$1&page=$2

RewriteRule ^([0-9]+)/?$ index.php?action=displaycat&catid=$1
RewriteRule ^([0-9]+)/([0-9]+)/?$ index.php?action=displaycat&catid=$1&page=$2

RewriteRule ^([-_/\+A-Za-z0-9]+)$ index.php?action=displaycat&catname=$1

RewriteRule ^listing/([-_/\+A-Za-z0-9]+)-([0-9]+).html$ link.php?action=detail&id=$2

How can I make it so that links that are like this http://tidget.com/listing/detail/14
change to
http://tidget.com/14

Thanks,

Matt

Order links like forum scriptwiki You're the man Paul, do you have a paypal email so I can leave you a nice tip? Feb 19, 2006 - 7:44 PM Paid Scripts Support
Settings > General Not working scriptwiki Yeah, I tried working it for a few days but then I decided to reinstall everything. I only had a few members (tidget.com) so it wasn't a big deal. Feb 19, 2006 - 7:33 PM Paid Scripts Support
Order links like forum scriptwiki Nope, doesn't work either. I want it so the newest link always is on the very top. But when someone comments on another link, it will be moved to the top. Feb 19, 2006 - 6:32 PM Paid Scripts Support
Order links like forum scriptwiki lol, I had to reinstall WSNLinks, everything was messed up.

Maybe I didn't make it clear enough what I wanted.

When someone submits a link I want it to be at the very top of the category. But if someone else comments on another link, I want that link to go to the very top of the category. But, if another person submits a new link, it would go straight to the top again.

I will try your method again using the admin panel.

Order links like forum scriptwiki Nope, doesn't work. Anyone else? You will get $20 smiling face Feb 18, 2006 - 4:28 PM Paid Scripts Support
Order links like forum scriptwiki I want my links ordered like a forum so when someone submits a link it goes to the top of the category, but if someone comments on another link, I want that one to go to the top.

How would I order my links so they are like that?

If you can figure it out, you have $20 coming to your paypal account. And please note, I have to do everything inside PHPMYADMIN because my Settings > General doesn't work.

Settings > General Not working scriptwiki None of those work. Any other ideas? Feb 17, 2006 - 4:18 PM Paid Scripts Support
Settings > General Not working scriptwiki I tried to change something in the admin panel under settings > General and I clicked "Update Settings" I got this error

"Not Acceptable
An appropriate representation of the requested resource /admin/prefs.php could not be found on this server.

Apache/1.3.33 Server at www.tidget.com Port 80"

Next, I didn't change anything and just hit the submit button and I got the same error.

Then, I upgraded to 3.3.4. I still get that error.

I don't get it, the General page has worked before but now it doesn't. I have another copy of 3.3.4 on the same server and it works fine. So it can't be a server problem.

What is it?
