| Upgrade error | babrees | I clicked to upgrade to 5.1.0. RC1 and it came back with a fatal error telling me to run upgrade.php manually. Did that but it just reported the same fatal error: Fatal error: Call to a member function numlevels() on a non-object in /home/bedsofpa/public_html/upgrade.php on line 700 I had upgraded earlier today to yesterday's release (was it beta 16?), and that went fine. |

| Aliases create dulicate listings | babrees | I had this but it didn't happen all the time. I thought my client must have been doing something wrong because it never did it when I tried! It's not as though there's any other text that it's buried in, it's the only thing up there. hmm, well I don't know where that message is supposed to be, but it is not on the type manager page (edit) aha, ok, my mix type was set to yes. The problem for me is that where it all used to be setup on just one page it is now on two separate pages, and the type manager is not next to the links setup, so it is easy to forget/miss things. |

| Ping on new additions | babrees | It may surprise you that in Wordpress's advancement a lot of sites use it for a lot more than just a blog, but they all still use the ping and it works fine. If you remember, I use WSN for a lot more than just a links directory. I use it as a cms, rather in the same way that the majority of people are using wordpress now. So whilst it may not make sense to you it works just find for information and other types of sites. I have found my wordpress sites (they are not blogs as such) get ranked higher and quicker, and can only put it down to the pings. Whilst I like wordpress, there are some things that I prefer wsn for so, for me, it would be ideal if wsn had a ping facility that could be turned on or off. |

In the end it managed to add another type ok. I deleted both the test and my type that wasn't working, added my type again and this time it worked. I feel that this is one of the main the reasons why wordpress sites are reasonably easy to rank well. Is it at all possible to get wsnlinks to do this? I have been shown www.quietearth.us/articles/...-your-own-blog-ping-in-php and don't know if that helps. |

| Custom Cat Image Problem | babrees | I have a custom category field to add an image (CATIMAGEATTACH). (1) If I attach an image to a category that has a secondary category, it changes the main category to the same as the secondary. ie. category is a sub-category of Divans and has secondary category of mattresses. After adding an image the sub-category becomes mattresses and it disappears from the divan category. (2) I have the following code in the customcat.tpl, which has always worked in previous versions <tr> However, if I click to delete the image it doesn't work (edit) I had to edit this as the paragraphs were removed. I had to switch to plain editor in order to have separate paragraphs |
