Parse error in link approval email | hai | Paul, I actually also tried this again on my site as well and am still getting an email with the parse error. I then went to view the email logs I received the following at the very top of the page:
So I logged back into the sandbox and when I view the logs there I get the same error so I'm guessing you must have gotten the parse error email as well. |

Parse error in link approval email | hai | Thank you Paul. I've just edited the assign email with the <IF> statement above and have added a link without an expiration and assigned it to you. Let me know what you receive. Thanks. | Jul 30, 2008 - 6:23 AM | Paid Scripts Support |
Parse error in link approval email | hai | Now that you fixed the problem with the submissions I was able to test sending an email with a conditional, but I'm still having problems. Here's the conditional I'm using - <IF {LINKEXPIRE} is greater than 1>This item will be deleted on {LINKEXPIREDATE[%m/%d/%Y]}.</IF> If the link has an expiration date the email works perfectly. The problem is that if there is no expiration date I get the following parse error email - <br /> <b>Parse error</b>: syntax error, unexpected '>' in <b>/home/content/portal/includes/commonfuncs.php(810) : eval()'d code</b> on line <b>5</b><br /> |

Fatal error: function checkrequired() | hai | Thank you for addressing this so quickly! I'm able to submit now. | Jul 25, 2008 - 4:26 PM | Paid Scripts Support |
assign link only works when editing | hai | Thanks the email test goes through without any errors now. Unfortunately, I cannot test if the emails are going out correctly upon submission because of another error. I've updated mariow's thread here - www.webmastersite.net/forum...on-checkrequired-8266.html with that problem. |

Fatal error: function checkrequired() | hai | Paul, Just to give you a little bit more information I recieved the same error when trying to submit a link after updating to 4.1.56. The line I received was - Fatal error: Call to undefined function checkrequired() in /home/content/html/portal/suggest.php on line 694 I thought it had to do with the change you made to recognize http:// as incomplete, but even after making sure a link was in the field I still recieved the same error. At this time I cannot submit a link at all and when trying to submit a category I recieve the same error as mariow. |

assign link only works when editing | hai | Ok, finally got around to upgrading. I'm at 4.1.55 now, but still have the same problem. | Jul 23, 2008 - 4:37 PM | Paid Scripts Support |
Creating a Link for a Current Member | hai | The username should work, but if you do not have your seo options set then you can see the id number at the end of the link to their profile - /memberlist.php?action=profile&id=# otherwise with seo on the link may look like /members/username-#.html | Jul 15, 2008 - 8:50 PM | Paid Scripts Support |
subcategories not listed correctly | hai | Thanks! Works now. | Jul 15, 2008 - 8:33 PM | Paid Scripts Support |
assign link only works when editing | hai | I've gone back and took the code from my linkbit template which I know worked and changed the email body to - <IF {LINKEXPIRE} is greater than 1>This item will be deleted on {LINKEXPIREDATE[%d-%m-%y]}.</IF> I thought for sure that was going to be the answer, but no such luck. I see that you don't use these variables in any of the default emails. Could it be that they just don't work there? |

assign link only works when editing | hai | Well, I've figured out my problem - kinda. Something in the email body is causing the problem. I've narrowed it down to the following line. <IF {LINKEXPIRE}>This item will be deleted on {LINKEXPIREDATE}. <ELSE> </IF> Basically I want the email to show the expiration date if there is one, but show nothing if it is not set to expire. Are these variables maybe not able to be used in emails? |

assign link only works when editing | hai | Hey Paul, You usually answer pretty quickly one way or another and was wondering if maybe you missed my last post with the errors I'm getting with the emails. Thanks. |

subcategories not listed correctly | hai | Paul, Just tested this and it "almost" works. Now only the links to the categories the member is allowed to see actually show, but the categories they are not allowed to see just keeps repeating {CATNAME} as a link to http://mysite.com/wsnlinks/%7BCATURL%7D. I have already regenerated and have applied the most recent update (4.1.53). |

subcategories not listed correctly | hai | The categories are now listed correctly. Thanks! I noticed also that it will list all the categories regardless of permissions. If this is the way it is supposed to work then I will just make the site map accessible to admins, but if there is a way to only show the categories the member is allowed to see I would rather that. |

assign link only works when editing | hai | Ok, the assignment now saves correctly. Thank you. The next problem with this is with the notification email going out. According to the email log an email supposedly went out with the correct subject, but no message body. When I check the email account there is nothing there. I sent a test email using the body of the assignment email (email_assignedbody) which was received, but with the following message body - <br /> <b>Parse error</b>: syntax error, unexpected $end in <b>/path/to/portal/includes/commonfuncs.php(765) : eval()'d code</b> on line <b>12</b><br /> Prior to the email being sent I get the following error on my site which disappears after a second refresh - Warning: mysqli_fetch_row() expects parameter 1 to be mysqli_result, boolean given in /home/content/h/i/g/highasp2/html/portal/databases/mysqli.php on line 23 Please let me know if you need any additional information to be able to fix this. |
