Double New Link Emails hai I just finished upgrading to version 4.0.30 and I tested the double email problem by turning my queue back on. Unfortunately, I am still receiving double emails with the queue on. I've turned the queue back off and await any help you can provide. Jun 05, 2007 - 11:37 AM Paid Scripts Support
Double New Link Emails hai I'm not sure if that is the email because I have since modified the content so I checked the control panel and the one we are getting doubles of is "email_notifyeveryonebody: {LANG_EMAIL_NOTIFYEVERYONEBODY}". The subscription is instant.

Double New Link Emails hai Thank you Paul, the queue was the culprit. It's now off and the double emails have stopped. May 29, 2007 - 11:01 AM Paid Scripts Support
Double New Link Emails hai When I upgraded to 4.0.27, I began to receive duplicate New Link notification emails. This continued when I upgraded to 4.0.28. I did check the change notes and I didn't see anything that could have caused this to start. It was not doing this prior to version 4.0.27. Prior to 4.0.27, I was running 4.0.24. I have a feeling the key to stopping the duplicate emails is in my settings but I've changed them one by one and been unable to stop it so I am seeking guidance from those with more experience or from Paul himself.

I've checked the email log and only one email is listed. The TO column is blank but the emails do go out and I do get them.

The email address receiving the emails is the admin address. There is only one member but neither of the duplicate emails are addressed to that member's email address - they both come to the admin address.

Here are any of the settings I have that relate to emails:
- send confirmation email to user when they register (yes)
- send confirmation email to user when they submit a link (yes)
- send email to user when their link is validated or rejected (yes)
- notify admin via email of items pending validation (yes)
- notify admin via email of edited links even when they don't need validation (yes)

The only other thing I've got set is on each link submission the box for "notify me when a visitor comments on my link" is checked.

When a link is edited, only one email is received.

Any ideas how to stop the duplicates?

Not getting comment notifications hai I do have an application for it but I understand you not making it available if it's not wanted by anyone else. My wsnlinks setup is private and the only member is actually an email alias to two people (my partner and I) so when I comment, I'd like the emails so that my partner gets the notification (and vice versa). It's not your average wsnlinks install, I know.

If the link owner (member) doesn't get notified of their own comments, fine. But the admin email (wsnlinks owner, not the individual link owner) isn't getting the notifications either. In my setup those are two different email addresses so there's no conflict with it being the link owner as well). There's a setting to notify the admin of edited links even when they don't need validation but I can't find anything similar for the comments. Am I missing something? If I'm not, I think that might be something that could be justified being added.

Can you suggest a work-around so that those comment notifications would get generated? What if I put another email address that is also shared by the two of us in the "Your E-mail: If different from your member account e-mail, specify were you'd like to get the notification when the link is approved or declined." box on the submit a link page? That would be a convoluted work-around and I'm not sure if I'd want to make another email alias but I'd be willing to do it if it would work and was my only chance.

Not getting comment notifications hai For some reason I cannot get comment notification emails. Here's what I've got:

The comment system is turned on. The "Only send unique subscription notifications?" is set to no. The member is set to auto subscribe to all comment threads for all links submitted. The outgoing emails related to comments are there. When a link is submitted, the "Notify me when a visitor comments on my link?" is checked. The member is just like an admin so their usergroup is set to be allowed to comment and it doesn't require validation. The comments are being used like updates so the member is commenting on their own links.

Neither the owner's email nor the member's email are getting the comment notifications.

There are no comment related emails in the email log so they are just not being generated.

Is this because the member is commenting on her own links? Is what I'm trying to do not possible? Or is there a setting somewhere that I've missed?

Link Edit emails not showing LINKTITLE hai I just wanted to say thank you. I just updated my version and tested this and it is working perfectly now.

I also wanted to say thank you for making the update process so easy, all without messing with all my data and modifications. Thanks.

Link Edit emails not showing LINKTITLE hai I have the subject of my link edit emails (email_newedittitle:
{LANG_EMAIL_NEWEDITTITLE}) set to be:

Link Edited: {LINKTITLE}

which results in an email with the subject of "Link Edited: {LINKTITLE}" However, I have the subject of my new link added emails (email_notifyeveryonetitle: {LANG_EMAIL_NOTIFYEVERYONETITLE}) set to be:

New Link: {LINKTITLE}

which works perfectly.

Any ideas why the link edit emails don't pull the title into the subject?
