Track File attachment downloads by membe sparkalina If they can hide any comment made from anyone on their listing already exists, then that's fine. I'm good with that.

Putting all my money ducks in a row. Will send email when ready.

THANKS!

Track File attachment downloads by membe sparkalina Thank you. I'd like to add one more teeny thing to the quote.

This may already be possible and I'm just not understanding the member usergroup set up.

I want listing owners to be able to hide comments made about their listing, but not other comments on other listings (unless they own those comments).

As it stands now from what I gather, they either get to hide their own comments or hide all comments.

Track File attachment downloads by membe sparkalina Sorry, didn't mean to seem like I was contradicting myself. I re-evaluated my needs over the past two days and restructured my new needs above.(1 a-c)

As of now, I DO want link owners to see profiles of users that download their attachments or visit their page, but I want the choice to remove the link if necessary and only mention the username (no html link to profile, just the username). That seems like something I could edit in the template later.

1a) I may need your help with the template programming, but I'll try it first and let you know if it's too complicated.

1c) what I think I meant was it's a table with all the visitation stats and download stats and accessible via the members home page as a choice in the options column. I think we're on the same page here.

So does the quote stand at 1-2 hours still?
I'm closer to my financial goal of saving up.

Track File attachment downloads by membe sparkalina Okay let's refine the quote in the simplest of terms for clarification.

----------------

1)Link submitters receive data (username linked to profile) on which users:
--- a)visited their page (every instance)
--- b)downloaded their attachment
--- c)data is spoon fed to link owners via their member home area (another tab under options)**

"Admin Panel -> Settings -> Links -> "Track names of those members who've viewed each link and thread?". Does what you're requesting differ from this? "

If this info can be released to linkowners, then YES, that's the idea for visitation tracking, I'd just be adding more data (who downloaded the attachment). If that already exists for admins only, can it be tweaked for users for ?

**Data is displayed as a table with headers like: Link title, visitation or download, date of download, username of person who downloaded or visited. It would also be prudent to be able to sort this data by 'Link title' or 'date of download/visitation' or "download versus visitation" or 'by username'.

-----------------

I've backed down on the time release of data issue because that's too complicated for my pocket book.

Track File attachment downloads by membe sparkalina Let me add one more thing. What if the data (about the user) only appears say 2 or 4 weeks after a download.

Basically I want to release the username data (of the person who downloaded the attachment) at a later date to prevent immediate contact by the owner of the attachment (which is considered rude in the industry I'm considering wsnlinks for). It seems like a an if/then statement might handle that. "IF the date of download is X THEN produce username/link"?

Does that add more to the quote or can I use the above situation to handle it?

I forgot one addition to the quote. I would also like the owner of the attachment to know which users visited their details page (the link details page with the attachment)...but NOT give away the username's info. I wouldn't link to the username's member page, just a text link so they know that so and so is visiting. I know that you can turn on who is visiting what page, but it isn't recording who visited what page. The owner of the link/attachment would only be able to see his/her stats for that page, not the public.

Track File attachment downloads by membe sparkalina Thanks! I'll start saving up right now :0) This is for me not my client. I'll also upgrade to the 5.0 series as well before that. Feb 21, 2009 - 1:23 AM Paid Scripts Support
Track File attachment downloads by membe sparkalina Is it currently possible to report which members downloaded a file attachment and show those stats to the owner of the attachment?

How long would that take to add (custom job)?

Thanks!

Internet Explorer error sparkalina Oh yes, as written it's conditionalized, but IE doesn't care, it still throws a javascript error up unless I only include onunload="GUnload()" on the pages with maps.

Thanks!

Edit link sparkalina I am also having this issue with WSN Classifieds 5.0.29

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/xxxxxxxxxxx/public_html/dir/includes/editlink.php on line 389

------------

I am temporarily replacing this page with the last build # because I have a live site. It's working now until you have time to fix.

line 389 differs from 388 and 377 with the lack of one ')'

if (file_exists($theuploadpath .'thumb_'. $oldfilename)) unlink($theuploadpath .'thumb_'. $oldfilename); // delete old thumbnail if gallery
if (file_exists($theuploadpath .'unmarked_'. $oldfilename) unlink($theuploadpath .'unmarked_'. $oldfilename); // delete old unmarked if gallery
if (file_exists($theuploadpath .'temp_'. $oldfilename)) unlink($theuploadpath .'temp_'. $oldfilename); // delete old temp if gallery

Internet Explorer error sparkalina I am getting an object expected ')' error on IE 7 and after debugging I found the culprit is somewhere in here:

function updatestate(country)
{
if (country.value == {DEFAULTCOUNTRY})
{
document.getElementById('americanstate').style.display = "block";
document.getElementById('foreignstate').style.display = "none";
}
else
{
document.getElementById('americanstate').style.display = "none";
document.getElementById('foreignstate').style.display = "block";
}
}

The debugger that ie has seems to be pointing here:

document.getElementById('americanstate').style.display = "block";
document.getElementById('foreignstate').style.display = "none";

but I can't be sure.

I don't use the country field so I've temporarily removed it to get rid of the error.

-----------------

onunload="GUnload()" for the google maps also causes an ie script error if it is shown on any page that doesn't have a map, but I can fix that with a conditional.

Couple of questions... sparkalina I'm not the administrator of this site, but a happy user of wsn products, and Paul has the final say but I might be able to help you with a couple issues.

If you haven't changed any of your template code in the admin backend....

#2 - ratings... in the admin backend (Admin> Members> Manage usergroups > guests): do guests have the ability to rate items? If these boxes are not checked, the usergroup does not have permission to use that feature of the website. I checked your site and as a guest was unable to leave a rating.

# 2 smilies... is the switch for smilies turned on (checked)? Admin > Settings > Switches > Miscellaneous >

# 3 Sometimes you also have to delete your internet browser's cache as well depending on the browser. Try that as well as deleting cookies to reset.

For #1, because I don't have access to your templates, I can't answer that one for you. Did you change any of the code in the template?

origtype field sparkalina I was just surfing the database, trying to learn how all the information interacts in regards to sponsorship and all of my items entered thus far have nothing entered in the "origtype" field. I don't know if they're suppose to be but it seems like they should be which is why I'm asking.

In itemtype sponsorship assume if a customer upgrades from one paid sponsorship to another paid sponsorship itemtype this field would contain the first itemtype they signed up under. Correct?

Shouldn't these fields be filled with those itemtypes? At this moment, they are blank.

Granted at this moment, I have everything reverting to "regular" however I'm about to change this to revert to original type because my attempts to idiot proof the sponsorship area have failed somewhat and I'm just trying to find the balance between simplicity with wsn and simplicity with what the user sees and deals with.

Question(s) 2:

a) If customer A pays for itemtype X @ 50$ and then upgrades to itemtype Y for 100$ (7 days to reversion), it will revert to itemtype X after 7 days...correct so far?

b) If customer A still has funds for itemtype X, itemtype Y reverts to itemtype X (origtype) and is NOT hidden Correct? ("Should the items become hidden on expiration? " set to yes.)

c) If customer A has zero funds for itemtype X and itemtype Y will revert to itemtype X it will hide because funds for itemtype X are zero.... Correct?

TIA
