"official type" names are being used rather than the "disp | DR | Excellent - Thanks | Jan 01, 2012 - 6:41 PM | Paid Scripts Support |
Member UserGroup | DR | We wish to have it so that members may upgrade to a Premium Member Usergroup that automatically moves all their listings into a Featured Listing display. [ We don't want to do it on an individual listing basis ] It seems if we do not "also" have a "Featured Listing" ... Listing Type available as a Sponsorship level .... That any new listings will automatically be inserted fist as Featured Listing ... rather than a Standard Paid Listing [ and by-passing any payment gateways ] [ Note - we are not offering free listings ] Also when we have a member upgrading to the new Premium Member Usergroup - although it does show the correct usergroup in the "members" dbase ... it does not show the member usergroup name moving to the Premium Member Usergroup in the "links" dbase .. Thanks |

Pending Validations | Listings Awaiting Payment | Listing Sponsorship | DR | Thanks Paul - This is great news ! We were thinking that the listing usergroup might be useful in customizing some different permissions based on the usergroup level / membership levels. |

Pending Validations | Listings Awaiting Payment | Listing Sponsorship | DR | Follow Up with Success and more questions [ of course ] We did go into "Online" rather than LocalHost "Mode" + we dumped the PayPal Sandbox Instead we used two different Paypal Accounts to test with .. All worked great - just as you had said it would. - We did have a question on a difference found if the person submits a new listing and immediately follows the web prompts to pay ... Scenario - A "Guest" submits a first listing ... and has an account made for them all at the same time ... [ we are using sponsored listings only ] - their account becomes a member account upon submission of the listing All Good ! So if the member returns to the site another time + goes to submit a 2nd listing .. but just takes a short-cut and does NOT log in as a member ... [ which could be quite common and time saving for them ] [ they would just use their original account email address] When they use their same email address - it does end up showing the same OWNER ID # [ which is good ] but the "ownerName" remains blank in this case ... for this listing and the usergoup also remains as "guest" for that listing ... [ but they are really a member - just not logged in as such at the moment ] Is that correct ? or should those two fields be updating .. ? Wanted to get your thoughts Seems this would require additional Admin work to update the "usergroup" etc. As always .. Thanks in advance and hope that all makes sense ... PS - and as for our "We just want people to pay "once" ... " thoughts from before .. we see that they will be greeted with an account balance etc. if they do try to pay twice - Excellent ! |

PayPal and PayPal SandBox Status | DR | Paul .. hoping this is Realizing this is NOT an WSN issue .. But knowing that many have had major frustrations trying to use the PayPal Sandbox and / or PayPal in general - I thought I would just post the link to the official status page for Paypal and the PayPal Sandbox https://ppmts.custhelp.com/ In hopes it might ease some of the frustrations |

So many great features | Pre-Populating | DR | Exactly ! was thinking that somehow using some variables specific to the member - that this would most likely be possible. Wasn't sure how to exactly go about this - but now you have pointed the way. Another great example of how customizable your software is. Thanks |

Pending Validations | Listings Awaiting Payment | Listing Sponsorship | DR | Yes .. You got it ... We thought .. but we did "not" have it set for all listing types to be sponsored .. [ we must have been working too late at night on this !! ] Thank you .. all the listings now correctly going into "awaiting payments" Also .. looks like from what you mentioned that we will not really be able to test the full payment system unless "unpaid will stay 1 and never become 0 -- when you run it on your computer instead of a world-accessible domain name." Yes we are seeing that ... not showing any payments coming through from the Paypal- sandbox - but when manually enter funds it all looks good. Thanks again very much |

Pending Validations | Listings Awaiting Payment | Listing Sponsorship | DR | Paul thanks for the in-depth feedback ... We will check all our settings etc. and get back with what we find .. We thought we had only sponsored listing types .. but clearly that could be the root of the problem. What's that saying measure twice cut once |

Pending Validations | Listings Awaiting Payment | Listing Sponsorship | DR | Update: We changed the "unpaid" value in the dbase from 0 to 1 .. and that did it !! ... The listing showed up as "UnPaid" = very nice !! ok .. so now the question is .. why isn't that happening ... Our first thought was that maybe because we are using WAMP on a local server for testing that we weren't communicating with Paypal correctly ?? .. but if it is a Sponsored Listing .. should not the default value be = "Unpaid" ?? We will check our Sponsorship Settings to see if we have them right .. Thanks in advance ... |

So many great features | Pre-Populating | DR | Paul - Your software has so many great features Was wondering about doing some pre-populating ? in some member accounts area when they go to submit listings ? Example: Say someone wants to make multiple listings ... and rather than having them have to to enter the city , state , county and zipcode etc. .. "each and every time" .. [which in our case our required fields .. ] Would there be a way [ when they are already logged into their account ? ] to have some sort of default info - with their info in it already that they could choose to use or not depending on the listing .. ?? Working to have a "faster/easier" customer experience .. Thanks in advance .. Always amazed at all the possibilities here ... |
