Search Function only Partially works RockinDoubleJ Searches are now working better after your fix, but still not recognizing all btypes for some reason. It is giving an image on most searches instead of the code but does not recognize "bar" or "tavern". When you search for either one of those it says there are no results which isn't correct. Any direction would be helpful. Thanks for your help to get me back to this point.

For those who are reading this, be very very careful who you hire as a programmer and be very clear with what you want accomplished when you hire someone. Do not use oDesk!

Search Function only Partially works RockinDoubleJ Still waiting on a reply. All searches are working except for btype; no btype search works at this time. Sep 03, 2011 - 9:21 PM Paid Scripts Support
Search Function only Partially works RockinDoubleJ We have used the code you gave but it has no effect on the btype search. Still not working but again, every search works except for btype. Aug 31, 2011 - 9:27 AM Paid Scripts Support
Sandbox RockinDoubleJ The "Top Listing" was set up as a sponsorship type, when this occurred, I deleted the "Top Listing" so it wouldn't happen again. So they will be able to list in the directory with any sponsorship type purchase? With the current paypal button setup, they are not supposed to be able to buy anything except a directory listing and that is what the PayPal button says when you click on it within WSN. For some reason, when "TL" is available in the sponsorship types, that is what is sent to PayPal and shows up for purchase instead of the 1 year listing. Doesn't make any sense to me but I am not following the underlying code that controls that and how it could get confused between the two sponsorship types. So for now, I just can't offer a "Top Listing" until the code is fixed. Aug 31, 2011 - 9:24 AM Paid Scripts Support
Sandbox RockinDoubleJ Wow, I am shocked you would put that in a public forum. I will not do as you have done and bring up your dirty laundry here Paul only to say that there is always two sides to every story but this is really bad taste and unprofessional on your part.

I asked for clarification because someone has already paid through the system and did not pay the correct amount or the right listing type and still was able to list their business and it was published. I do realize that I can require a review on my part of all listings before they are published but that keeps me really busy just reviewing listings, not fixing problems or working with clients, once I launch and have a lot of listings going up. So, once again, it isn't as simple and straight forward as you would lead everyone to believe here.

Search Function only Partially works RockinDoubleJ What would be the right tag to use for the Advanced search instead of <form>? If I am understanding what you are saying, the search isn't going to work properly with the <form> tag or with the code you gave it will work? Aug 25, 2011 - 7:39 AM Paid Scripts Support
Improper Payment Flow - Urgent RockinDoubleJ Paul,

The payment flow in my system is not correct and I have to get it corrected as soon as possible. When you make a payment, you have to click two different times just to get out of PayPal instead of instantly coming back to the site. The first page you get is a Thank you page for your payment which is fine. You click on continue and are taken to a submit listing page which asks you to choose a listing type, this should not be happening since you have already paid, so you go ahead and fill out all the information and click on preview. This click give you a 4"x3" window to preview an entire webpage, very annoying and impossible to preview the page (how do I make the a popup window or something that is useful). Then you go ahead and hit submit and are taken to a page to pay for your listing again, this is a huge problem. I cannot send anyone to my site to register for a listing until this is corrected. How do I change the payment "flow" within WSN so that it is working correctly and recognizing the payment that was made in the first place and not requiring a second payment to list?

I attached screen shots of the system asking for a second payment, of the preview window and of the submit page asking you to choose a listing type so you can see what specifically I am seeing and asking to get fixed. Hope that is helpful in understanding the issue so you can give me direction. smiling face

Sandbox RockinDoubleJ If I allow the free member to have submitting ability, someone will figure out how to get around paying to submit a listing. Once someone is paid they should immediately be moved to a paid member list then have submit ability and not before.

I had turned on review in Sandbox which made every transaction require authorization before finalizing. Do not turn on review in Sandbox! Learn from my mistake. smiling face

Sandbox RockinDoubleJ I can't imagine what I would have been doing different either. The sandbox was still setup so that we could continue trying to test. I don't have any idea how it could have not worked for me before. WSN said it got the payment but never showed it in the received payment area and I did it three time, my Sandbox account has all three transactions listed. Search Function only Partially works RockinDoubleJ Okay Paul, is this code better?

Sandbox RockinDoubleJ Tried every thing again, but still not working. WSN is recognizing the payment has been made (the thank you page I receive after making the payment is what I am going on here) but the payment never makes it to the sponsorship-related transactions and as you can see in Sandbox, it recognizes having made the payment. At this moment, everything is still set to Sandbox if you want to test it. I have folks that I am supposed to talk with today about signing up and right now, as I understand it, the system isn't going to let them do that. I need this fixed asap. The breakdown appears to be that WSN doesn't know what to do with the payment once it is received. Aug 23, 2011 - 10:01 AM Paid Scripts Support
Search Function only Partially works RockinDoubleJ Thanks Paul, got the Advanced search working yesterday on the front page again. When you told me it was javascript I knew immediately what had happened so that made it easier to fix. We realized that we were looking for the btype but having the additional information I am sure will be most helpful. I will update you on our results, as of right now we had hit a stone wall so your information will probably make the difference. :-) Aug 23, 2011 - 9:27 AM Paid Scripts Support
Sandbox RockinDoubleJ As you can see, the sandbox account shows that the payment was made and I did get the thank you for your payment page as you can also see from the previous upload. What went wrong after that because I have a break down somewhere? This is keeping me from selling listings. I have phone appointments today that I am supposed to sell listings to but since this isn't working I can't! Aug 23, 2011 - 8:30 AM Paid Scripts Support
