how to register to different usergroups |

I learned in the forum that a new member always register to usergroup 2 (member).
I really need the possibility to offer 3 different registration forms which register a new user to different usergroups with different permissions. Manual move to a certain usergroup after registration is not an option.
nSo how can I make it? Is there a workaround? Or do you plan to implement this in a future version? When?
