I haven't set automatic back up yet so have not tested that, but when clicking Create Backup although it tells you it has created it it doesn't.

Directory is chmod 777

Works fine for me, generated 66MB backup.sql after a minute or so on localhost, and a 760 MB one in a few minutes on my VPS.

You're in CGI/suPHP mode, right? That means your directories should be 755, 777 may be disallowed.

Won't work if your web host disallows shell calls as shared hosting restrictions, but I believe you were on a VPS.

Yep working fine for me too, both auto backup and manual backup work fine.

My admin directory is set to 755


....

Note: I am getting an error posing on these forums though. I just posted in the suggestions section and got a massive page of errors when I did.

Thanks Paul! Changed directory to 755 and it worked!!!!

One of these days I will get it right <G>
