I upgraded from 3.13 to 3.14 and used the CHMOD utility thing to chmod my attachment folders because I can't change those folders with WS FTP.
The message I get from the program is this:

/home/elitefan/public_html/attachments/Female_Celebrities to
/home/elitefan/public_html/attachments/Male_Celebrities to
/home/elitefan/public_html/attachments/Movies to
/home/elitefan/public_html/attachments/Multiple_Celebrities to
/home/elitefan/public_html/attachments/Music_Bands to
/home/elitefan/public_html/attachments/Others to
/home/elitefan/public_html/attachments/TV_Shows to
/home/elitefan/public_html/attachments/Top_Level to
/home/elitefan/public_html/attachments/Useful_Links to
/home/elitefan/public_html/attachments/index.htm to 666
Warning: chmod(): Operation not permitted in /home/elitefan/public_html/admin/chmod.php on line 19

In fact, /index.htm is now at 644, and the folders don't have any permissions at all. I cannot even open them anymore. Obviously all images in the directory are now broken.
Any idea how to fix that?

The folder permissions being set to blank probably means you downloaded before the 1/16/05 revision noted at scripts.webmastersite.net/w...embers/comments.php?id=128 (it'd been relying on a 755/777 value specificaiton that only exists in wsn forum, now it's changed to assume 777, though this will cause problems for people who require 755)

As for index.htm, it's owned by your FTP user so you have to chmod it through FTP (that's what the "operation not permitted" error means).

I downloaded it yesterday, Jan 20th.
Is there an easy way to fix this?

Do you think I can use this for the gallery as well?

Yes, same file will work there. I'll release WSN Gallery 2.14 including it in the next day or two.
