I am looking to send out newsletters to all my submitters and can't find a function for this. Anybody can offer help?

In your admin area scroll down to the Emails section in the left hand navigation. Under there you will seeSend E-Mails smiling face

I can't find it. I attached a screenshot of version WSN Links 5.1.46 Admin Panel. I have 4 or 5 installs and none of them shows the email function ---> see screenshot.

hmm, very strange. Afraid you will have to wait for Paul to answer this one then.

Stupid question: You're not on a trial version or something?

I was looking into all of my installs and found most don't have the 'send email' link in admin, but 2 of them showed it. Lucky :-) I think I found a work-around solution if I enter /admin/email.php into the browser it shows the email function. Something else I noticed: the email function shows up in admin for scripts installed in root directory of domain, but not for installs in subfolders.

I see it hides the email page when you switch members off. Since it should still be possible to email submitters while you have no members, I'll un-hide that and hide the members-related half of the send emails page instead.

Hi Faxxaff

Emailing submitters or members even is something I was thinking of too.

My own site is still in development so this is all just being thought about at the moment.

I was thinking myself of installing a thirdy party newsletter script.
One that not only permits a newsletter but one that has multi lists functionality and autoresponder features as well.

eg for the public who register the auto responder could be set up with a series of time spaced emails to highlight certain feautures such as ability to set up link lists etc.

A separate list might auto respond messages to those who have submitted links.
These message might be something like..upgrade to a paid listing
or it could even be some form of advertising message of my choice.

If for such a thing I use a script I host myself running of the same db as my wsn
it should be reasonably feasible to tie up wsn user status to relevenet auto responder lists. A much harder task to do if using something external such as awebber.

Just my rough thinking / future vision of where I would ultimately like to go
with some extra customisation work of my own.

Just chipping in ideas really in case they inspire someone here.

Cheers
Mick
