Is there a way to put pauses into the importer.php script?
I'm concerned about server load when importing a big list (whatever that is).
Would be good if you could put into the importer.php configuration something like, "Do X number of imports, and then take a rest, and then do another X imports, rest, X imports, rest....etc..."

I'd suggest just splitting the file.
I'll consider a paged import for 4.0.
