I have a category in which I've submitted a feed. When I try to set the Links sort order for the category it will not save and instead defaults back to Use Default. It works fine in other categories, but will not save in this one.

Can categories with feeds have a different link sort order?

It's not related to feeds. Something else differs.

You're right something else is different. Apparently, once I submit a category any edits I make to a category after the initial submission will not save. This doesn't happen with any of my previously submitted categories, but any new categories I submit give me this problem.

I too have seen this problem in one category. But it is not all new cats, just one so far!

Babrees, thank you so much for posting! Once I knew it wasn't just me I went back to see if I could narrow down what could possibly be giving me this problem so that maybe between the two of us we could get it down to a common denominator. Well, amazingly enough I figured it out. Apparently the category I was attempting to edit had a description which included an apostophe which is what was causing my problem. Once I escaped the apostophe (changed ' to \') all my changes saved.

Yep - once you pointed that out I tested and those with apostrophies can't be edited !

They may be only small but they've been causing a lot of problems!

I guess I fixed it for titles before but not descriptions.

Fixed... though that probably created 10 other bugs in the process.
