After regenerating counters I have a problem with the catadmin and linkadmin links in subcategories (I use mod_rewrite and category names in url). They look like http://www.domain.com/categorie/edit.php?action=...and so on. And of course they don't work this way.
From your description I'm not sure what you're talking about. Since it's something to do with the 'edit' links though you'll probably might want to compare your 'edit' language item with the one in the current default language file.

Hi Paul.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or only a local problem. But it's very serious for me on my productive system. How can I solve it?

I'm talking about the {CATADMIN} and {LINKADMIN} variables in the displaylinks template. I have mod_rewrite and category names in URL enabled (SEO settings). And the links are now displayed as http://www.domain.com/categoryname/edit.php?action... instead of http://www.domain.com/edit.php?action...

Well, you're right. It was a language thing.
English lang_edit: <a href="{PATH}"><img src="templates/default/images/edit.gif" border="0" alt="edit"></a>
German lang_edit: <a href={PATH}><img src=templates/default/images/edit.gif border=0></a>
The " makes the difference, I added them to the german language and now it works.
